08/05/2011 - Summer Is In Full Swing This Weekend
Wow! Is there a LOT to do! Summer is in full swing. Hope everyone is making time to get a slice of watermelon, grill something wonderful and lay in the shade on a hot summer day sipping something cold.
This weekend has plenty in store in our regional community;
First Friday is tonight in downtown Spokane. Art, Food, Music and great people. First Night Spokane's "Rising Stars" is back with the amazing "Bubbillusionist", Jarom Watts. Jarom is a multiple Guinness World Record Holder and has dazzled audiences of all ages with his amazing bubble magic. See soap bubbles turned into a twisted tornado along with other mesmerizing feats! River Park Square Atrium 7-9pm. That is just one example of the family friendly fun to bbe had!
The next First Friday is in September and could have cool brisk weather, so go enjoy it tonight....savoring summer.
This weekend is also Taste of the Coeur d' Alene's, the Downtown Street Fair and Art On The Green in Coeur d' Alene. You can stroll all over the NIC campus for Art On The Green, cruise over to the City Park for Taste Of The Coeur d' Alene's and then end up downtown on Sherman Avenue for the Street Fair. All along the way you will find art, music and food...with the beautiful lake as the backdrop. And for those who think that is too much walking, there is a free shuttle bus service making the rounds all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday to cart you back and forth. Gorgeous weather for a fun community party. Don't forget your sunscreen!
