Spokane's local wineries gear up for their annual Spring Barrel Tasting - a weekend of wine, food and fun. All 17 Spokane wineries will be opening their doors to visitors and guests on Mother's Day Weekend. Spring finds wineries everywhere gathering together to share their newly made wines with friends and colleagues. This is a time of celebration that typically marks the end of the winemaking season and the start of a new wine year. Spokane's local wineries invite their friends from near and far to join them in the festivities of their annual Spring Barrel Tasting. Activities at each winery include: Sampling new wines; sampling current vintages; sampling wines still in the winemaking process directly from barrels or tanks; talking with knowledgeable and friendly wine lovers at each winery. Tasting fees may apply.
