Mission Statement

Center Pointe provides positive social/recreational and educational activities for adults with diverse abilities; in a safe, barrier-free environment. Thereby, assisting members to overcome social isolation, develop friendships, increase life-skills, and serve others. Our purpose is to empower participants to achieve a positive self esteem and independence.

Provide social/recreational and educational activities to adults with diverse abilities to empower each to reach their highest potential as an important part of the community.



Center Pointe works with adults with disabilities, offering them classes and social interaction that they cannot easily find in our busy day to day world.

Center Pointe, formerly known as the Spokane Rehabilitation Center, was established in 1953. We provide a safe and barrier-free environment for recreation, socialization and educational activities. We serve as an extended family for those without family or those with family not involved in their lives.

We encourage our participants to be independent, to have a positive self-image and to be of service to others.



To that end, we have a series of fundraisers, in addition to our United Way funding, in an effort to keep that dream alive.



Center Pointe does not receive Federal, state or local funding. The generosity of United Way donors continues to provide our most stable source of income. We also have fund-raising events to augment our base income.



Of the money raised, less than 15% goes toward administrative costs. Our paid staff includes one full-time and five part-time employees. Each paid staff has a degree with experience or a working knowledge in the field.



Volunteers are an essential component of Center Pointe's successful operation. Without these dedicated individuals, the activities and services we provide would not be possible.

THE CENTER POINTE EVENT FACILITY
is a barrier free building located near the heart of downtown Spokane, Riverfront Park, and Veteran's Arena. Upon entering the Great room the stage can be set for an evening in the Tuscan countryside with good food, family and friends. Center Pointe can accommodate any occasion of all sizes, and its spacious and adaptable rooms allow a myriad of setting options.

Please consider Center Pointe as the location for your next gathering. Our large facility can accommodate any occasion such as birthday parties, socials, reunions, off-site corporate meetings, luncheons, etc. Basically if you can get a reason to gather, we can give you a place to do it!

Due to Center Pointes excellent value, it is a great place for fundraisers Center Pointe also offers special rates for Non-Profit Organizations.

Center Pointe only charges $100 an hour for the Great Room, which offers ample accommodations for any group including a fully functioning kitchen and hors d'oeuvres room. We will gladly set up tables, chairs, and a Public Address system for your next gathering.

SERVICES

The Center Pointe facility is an elegant building located near the heart of downtown. Upon entering the Great room, you will be surrounded by a Tuscan Motif. Center Pointes facility can accommodate any occasion, and its large and versatile rooms create a myriad of options the parties involved.

The Great Room is a large 3,000 square foot setting with ample seating for 200. While the Great Room is the center of event, there are several other rooms that can be of significant use. Branching out of it from the main room is a room for hors d'oeuvres. Although a smaller room it can serve the purpose of setting up a table for appetizers before the next course is served. If this is undesired, the room can be simply closed off.

In addition to a separate room for elegant photography, Center Pointes warming station is available for those who desire to self cater. This room is ideal for preparation, refrigeration, and serving. A small kitchen fee is required to use stoves, dishwasher, and microwave.

WEDDINGS

At Center Pointe it is our goal to create a most enjoyable experience for you on this special day. Our staff is dedicated to working with you to ensure that every detail is covered. With you and/or wedding coordinator we would be honored to assist you in realizing your dream.

Our Great Room has been decorated to create an atmosphere conducive to the wedding of your expectation. Your wedding will be set in the midst of a Tuscan Garden Motif: complete with beautiful wicker garden settee, elegant art deco, urns planted with willows, graceful topiaries to accent the indoor garden, soft lighting and much more. Enjoy the warm glow of a summer evening!

Basic Room Rate for five hours: $1200.00

Includes:

* Use of kitchen facilities
* Set up of tables and chairs
* Clean up
* Sound sysytem with public address features and wireless capability
* Air conditioning
* Ample free parking

Add on services for an additional price:

* Site for wedding ceremony: $200.00
* Additional time for rehearsal and decorating: $250 for 2 hrs.
* Arrangment for linens with local vendor

Reservation Fee (deducted from the total):

One half of total costs.

Center Pointe has no restrictions on your choice of caterers. We are willing to work with you in fulfilling your needs, from supplying a kitchen for self-catering, coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and the best caterers in Spokane.
